Song Xu (1525–1605) was a Chinese painter and calligrapher who lived during the Ming Dynasty. He is known for his landscape paintings and his use of the "Mi" style of painting, which was characterized by its use of light and dark ink to create a sense of depth and texture.

Born into a family of scholars and officials, Song Xu received a classical education in literature and philosophy. However, he was also trained in painting and calligraphy, and he eventually became a renowned artist in his own right.

Song Xu's landscape paintings are recognized for their attention to detail and their ability to convey a sense of tranquility and peacefulness.
