A Monograph of the Genus Casuarius is a book written by British zoologist Lionel Walter Rothschild and published in 1910. The book is a comprehensive study of the genus Casuarius, which includes three species of flightless birds found in Australia and New Guinea, commonly known as cassowaries. 

Cassowaries are known for their striking appearance, with a tall crest on their heads, bright colors on their neck and head, and a large, powerful body. Cassowaries are related to emus and ostriches and are considered to be the third-largest bird in the world, with some species growing up to 6 feet tall and weighing up to 130 pounds.
