Margaret Evans Price was an American illustrator and artist, born in 1888 and passing away in 1973. She is best known for her illustrations of children's books, postcards, greeting cards, and magazine covers.

Price grew up in New Jersey and began studying art at an early age. She later attended the Art Students League of New York and the School of Industrial Art in Philadelphia. After completing her studies, Price began working as a freelance illustrator, creating illustrations for various publications such as Ladies' Home Journal, Good Housekeeping, and The Saturday Evening Post.

In the 1920s, Price began creating illustrations for children's books and became well-known for her work in this genre. She illustrated many classic stories and fairy tales, such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and The Little Mermaid. She was also known for her whimsical illustrations of animals, particularly cats and dogs.

Price's illustrations were characterized by their bright colors, playful characters, and attention to detail. She often incorporated intricate patterns and designs into her illustrations, creating a rich visual experience for the reader.
