About

Pomologie Française is a French book that was published in 1846. It is a collection of illustrations of the most beautiful fruits grown in France. The book features over 300 hand-colored lithographs by Pierre Jean François Turpin, Firmin Bocourt, Bouquet, and H. Legrand, depicting a wide variety of apples, pears, peaches, plums, cherries, and other fruits. The book was compiled by Antoine Poiteau, a French botanist and pomologist who was known for his work in the field of fruit cultivation. It is considered a classic in the field of pomology, and the illustrations are highly valued by collectors and horticulturalists alike.
