George Lepape was a French illustrator and designer who lived from 1887 to 1971. He was a prominent figure in the Art Deco movement of the 1920s and 1930s, and is best known for his work as a fashion illustrator and magazine cover artist.

Lepape's illustrations were characterized by their elegant lines, bold colors, and geometric shapes. He often depicted women in his work, and his illustrations were noted for their sophistication and glamour. His designs were also notable for their use of negative space and innovative composition.

Lepape's work appeared in numerous magazines, including Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Vanity Fair. He also worked as a set and costume designer for the Ballets Russes and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.

In addition to his work as an illustrator and designer, Lepape was also a painter and printmaker. His work was exhibited in numerous exhibitions throughout Europe and the United States, and he won several awards for his illustrations and designs.
