The NASA "Visions of the Future" art series of space travel posters were created to generate public interest and excitement about NASA's exploration of our solar system. The posters were designed to resemble vintage travel posters, which were popular in the mid-20th century, to evoke a sense of nostalgia and capture the public's imagination and to encourage the public to support and follow NASA's space exploration missions.

The posters were also intended to promote the Jet Propulsion Laboratory's (JPL) missions and research, and to showcase the agency's achievements in space exploration. The JPL collaborated with Invisible Creature, a design studio known for their creative approach to branding and design, to create a unique and visually striking series of posters that would capture the public's attention and imagination.
