 About

King's Color-Graphs of New York City was a series of colorful bird's-eye-view maps of New York City, created by the Lithographic firm of Moses King in the late 19th century. These maps were intended to be used as promotional materials for businesses and real estate developers, as well as souvenirs for tourists.

The maps were created using a process known as chromolithography, a printing process that allows for the creation of multi-colored prints using multiple plates, each with a different color ink, which resulted in vibrant, unique prints. They depicted the city's streets, buildings, parks, and other landmarks in great detail, making them valuable historical records of the city's urban development.
