About

Paul Fischer was a Danish artist who lived from 1860 to 1934. He is known for his impressionistic paintings of landscapes, cityscapes, and interiors.

Fischer began his artistic career as an apprentice in a porcelain factory, where he developed his skills in drawing and painting. He eventually moved to Paris to study art and was influenced by the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist movements.

Fischer's paintings often depict scenes of daily life in Paris, including streets, cafes, and gardens. He was particularly known for his use of light and color to create atmospheric effects in his work.

Fischer's work was well-received during his lifetime and he exhibited his paintings in galleries throughout Europe. However, his legacy was largely forgotten after his death and his work was only rediscovered in the latter half of the 20th century.
