Pamela Colman Smith's inspiration for the Rider-Waite-Smith deck came from a variety of sources, including her studies in art and mysticism and the guidance of Arthur Edward Waite, who commissioned the deck and provided her with a detailed list of symbolic imagery and meanings for each card. The deck was intended to be a departure from the more traditional Tarot decks of the time and to reflect Waite's spiritual beliefs and interest in mysticism. Smith drew on her own artistic style and influences from her travels and studies, including Egyptian and medieval art, as well as her own experiences with spiritualism and psychic phenomena, resulting in a unique combination of Waite's occult knowledge and Smith's artistic vision. The resulting deck reflects Waite's spiritual beliefs and interest in mysticism and has become widely recognized as a tool for divination, self-discovery, and personal growth.

-The size of each card is 2.75 in x 4.75 in (70mm x 120mm)

-Each card has a thin cut line

-The sheets that have the card backs are aligned to be able to print front and back.
