The Sea Fairies is a children's fantasy novel written by L. Frank Baum, best known as the author of The Wizard of Oz. The book was published around 1911. In The Sea Fairies, Baum takes readers on a magical adventure in an underwater world.

The story follows the adventures of a young girl named Trot and her companion, Cap'n Bill, who find themselves in a mystical undersea kingdom known as the "Mermaid City" or the "City of the Mermaids." Here, they encounter various fantastical creatures, including mermaids and merman, as well as other sea creatures, all of which are depicted with Baum's trademark imagination and creativity.

The book is notable for its whimsical storytelling and vivid descriptions of the undersea world, as well as for its charming and memorable characters. Like many of Baum's works, The Sea Fairies combines elements of adventure and fantasy, making it an engaging read for young readers and fans of Baum's other imaginative tales. John R. Neill provided illustrations for the book, which further brings the story to life.
