About

Icones Plantarum Selectarum Horti Regii Botanici Berolinensis cum Descriptionibus et Colendi Ratione is a book written by Heinrich Friedrich Link and Friedrich Otto, and published in 1820. The book is a collection of illustrations and descriptions of select plant species cultivated in the Royal Botanic Garden of Berlin.

The book includes hand-colored lithographs, depicting various plant species from different parts of the world. The illustrations were created by artists Friedrich Guimpel, Carl Röthig, P. Haas, and Meno Haas, and are accompanied by detailed descriptions of the plants, including their scientific names, habitat, and cultivation requirements.

The Royal Botanic Garden of Berlin, also known as the Berlin-Dahlem Botanical Garden and Botanical Museum, is one of the largest and most diverse botanical gardens in the world. The garden was founded in 1679 and is home to over 22,000 plant species, many of which are rare and endangered.
