Shinsen moyō no shiori is a Japanese design book that was first published in 1913. The book is dedicated to the art of Japanese stencil dyeing, or katazome, and features detailed illustrations and descriptions of traditional dyeing techniques and patterns. The book was authored by a group of Japanese artists and designers who were dedicated to preserving and promoting traditional Japanese crafts in the face of rapid modernization and industrialization. Shinsen moyō no shiori played a significant role in reviving interest in katazome and other traditional crafts, and it continues to be regarded as a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history and development of Japanese design and textile arts.
