About

Frank Edward Clarke was an American angler and author who lived from 1868 to 1937. He was known for his expertise in fly fishing and for his contributions to American angling literature.

Clarke was born in Massachusetts and spent much of his life traveling and fishing throughout North America. He was an avid fly fisherman, and his passion for the sport led him to write several influential books on the subject, including "Fishing and Fishing Boats" (1913) and "The Complete Angler and Huntsman" (1925). This set is an assorted collection of his work depicting fish from the south pacific.

Clarke was also known for his innovative approach to fly tying, and he developed several new patterns that are still used by anglers today. He was a member of the Anglers' Club of New York and was widely respected in the angling community for his knowledge and skill.
