About

The Floral Cabinet and Magazine of Exotic Botany was a monthly publication on botanical topics, particularly focused on exotic plants. It was edited by George Beauchamp Knowles and published in London from 1837 to 1841.

The magazine featured colored plates and descriptions of a wide variety of plants, including rare and newly discovered species. The illustrations were created by artists such as Fitch, Westcott, and Hart, and were printed by Day and Haghe.

In addition to the plant illustrations, the magazine also featured articles on botanical topics, such as plant taxonomy, cultivation, and plant exploration. The articles were written by prominent botanists of the time, such as John Lindley and William Hooker.

The Floral Cabinet was a popular publication in its time, providing readers with a glimpse into the world of exotic plants and the latest developments in botanical science.
