About

The See America campaign was a travel advertising campaign created by the United States government's Works Progress Administration (WPA) during the 1930s. The campaign aimed to promote domestic tourism and boost the country's economy during the Great Depression.

The campaign featured a series of posters, postcards, and other promotional materials that showcased various American landmarks, national parks, and other natural and cultural attractions. These materials were designed by artists employed by the WPA's Federal Art Project and were distributed across the country to encourage Americans to explore their own country.

Overall, the See America campaign was considered a success, helping to promote domestic tourism and stimulate economic growth during a difficult time in American history. Today, many of the original posters are highly sought after by collectors and are considered iconic examples of American graphic design.
