Wang Gai (王概) was a Chinese painter who lived during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). He was born in Huating (now part of Shanghai), and his personal name was Wang Jue (王觉). Wang Gai was a student of the famous painter Shen Zhou (沈周), and his style was heavily influenced by Shen's innovative techniques and brushwork.

Wang Gai is known for his landscape paintings, which are characterized by their expressive brushwork and bold use of color. He often depicted mountainous landscapes, using light and shadow to create a sense of depth and perspective. Wang Gai's paintings were also known for their intricate details and texture, particularly in the depiction of rocks and trees.
